Our Stage 3 Power
Package begins by swapping the stock 16GL turbo for the much larger
Garrett GT3071. The Garrett GT3071 is a Garrett medium frame
turbocharger featuring a T3 turbine wheel and a 71mm compressor wheel
housed in a ball-bearing center cartridge. The ball-bearing center
cartridge ensures optimal turbo response and spool up, while the much
larger T3 turbine and 71mm compressor substantially increases the power
potential of your Evolution.
The larger GT3071
turbocharger will increase pump-gas potential by over +30whp over our
Stage 2 package, with a overall horsepower increase of 110 to 115 whp
(~145HP)
over stock. The GT3071 was selected as the optimum Stage 3
turbo because it provides a substantial power gain without sacrificing
turbo response, spool-up, and everyday driveability. Furthermore,
it does not require the upgrade of the stock intercooler, hardpipes, or
any other components other than the existence of the Gruppe-S Stage 1 and Stage 2
power-packages.
In terms of additional components only the Helix 720cc
injectors are required to supplement the additional fuel needed.
The
ATP GT3071 kit WILL replace your factory downpipe.
And of course substantial tuning is required
for proper operation, therefore
the use of the Gruppe-S Reflash is mandatory.
Another key benefit of the GT3071 is that this
turbocharger is a monster with higher octane gas. With the
addition of 100 octane gas, the GT3071 is capable of putting out an
additional 40whp OVER 91 OCTANE. This means a 480HP Evolution by
simply adding 100 octane gas and recalibrating the computer. Gruppe-S Reflashes are available to
accommodate 100 octane maps (please
contact us for details).
The Gruppe-S Powerpackage 3 is fully compatible
with all 2003+ Lancer Evolutions including the MIVEC EVO IX.

Gruppe-S Reflash
- With our years of experience tuning
high-performance race vehicles such as the WRX US-Touring Car,
Grand-Am car, as well as numerous Rally and drag cars, we have
perfected the art of tuning a high performance vehicle and
extracting the maximum power without compromising safety.
Our Power-Package #3 reflash, is developed
exclusively to be used in conjunction with our Power-Package #3
components and is required for our Power Package #3 components to
work properly. This map is developed through extensive road and dyno-testing
and works by adjusting boost maps, ignition maps, fuel trims, and various
other parameters to maximize the effects of more aggressive cams
and the high-flow fuel pump. Built in are ECU safety features such as
knock control and fuel trim, creating a safe and
reliable tune. Gains of over 110whp are achieved. Our map is designed
for California 91 octane.*
We offer a map loading service if you do not
have technical knowledge to load your own ECU maps.
*California 91 octane is generally regarding as
the worst 91 octane in the country. Therefore our 91 octane
map is compatible throughout the country as long as 91+ octane gas
is used. You may see additional horsepower gains if your car
is fine-tuned for higher octane gas. We also offer a 100
octane and alcohol injection map for the Stage 3 car at additional
cost. |

1. Gruppe-S Loading Service - You send us your ECU, we will load in
the Gruppe-S Stage 1 Reflash for you and return your ECU to you via
overnight shipping.
2. Software Only - If you purchase the software only, you only need
to provide us with your ECU number and VIN number. We will send
you an electronic copy of our the Gruppe-S Stage 1 Reflash specifically
encoded for your ECU. You will need a general understanding of
reflashing techniques and you MUST possess the hardware to be able to
reflash your vehicle. If you do not know how to reflash your own
vehicle, please choose option #1.
